Abundant notes of licorice, soy sauce, and tobacco leaf, with a hint of aged balsamic vinegar. The boldly ripe palate is dominated by baking spices and Damson plum. The generous and only moderately dry tannins hold this richness together quite well, and the finish is much gentler than the initial impression suggested.
